Hi, I see a strange phenomena/bug where a previous no-present image shines through widgets with white background . It is at a fixed area of the screen regardless of virtual window. The image blends with the foreground. The application that showed the image is not running and is not known. The image shows on a monochrome root display backround like white or black but does not show when the backround is an image loaded by display.
It does not show on xwd of the window and only if the window is on top. 'xterm -bg white' shows it where 'xterm -bg grey' downs not show the picture. I am not really suspecting fvwm, but here is some expertise on X and windowmanmagers.. I run gnome-session/gnome-panel with fvwm 2.5.28 as a the window manager in Ubuntu 10.10. nautilus is not running. Xorg 1:7.5+6ubuntu3. regards Olav
