I'm a little confused here, do you mean you have a program running in a maximized xterm as a background? Or do you have an image displayed? You know there are applications for displaying text (OSD) and images (habak, Esetroot, xsetroot etc) on the root window, right? Like I said, I'm a little confused... Regards, Myles
