Hello,

I am trying to reserve Desktop space for three FvwmButton(Panels) using
EWMH. The desktop is 1024x768 pixel and the three FvwmButtons have a
fixed size of 4 pixels and an additonal size of 32 pixels (left) and 64
pixels (top and right).

If I run additionaly to fvwm a Desktop Environement like GNOME or KDE,
xterm, gaim, mozilly, openoffice and others are respecting the reserved
"fixed" and "dynamic" space of the FvwmButton(Panels) but without it,
it does not work.

I was thinking that at least GTK2 apps will respect it even if I do not
use GNOME or KDE... but I was wrong.

Do I understand something wrong?

I have GNOME and KDE only for testing installed, since I do not like
this bloatware which reduce the speed o my Sempron 2200+ to a third.

But maximizing apps let them always bo behind the FvwmButtons and the
FvwmTaskbar, which mean, I have to close the FvwmButtonPanel, resize
the app manualy and then reopen the FvemButtonPanel again.

Realy annoying.

Any tips welcome...
