Thank you for the really quick response Thomas, All the time I was thinking about this, I never considered the fact that 'klipper' is designed to be in a systray. You probably hit the problem. I am not so keen on gui programs and did not consider the systray, don't need them with Midnight Commander , Mutt and Slarn. I dislike mailing with this 'Evolution' and won't if I can get around to making 'Exim4' pass along my Mutt mail. I do find good use for the 'klipper' to see what 'Vim' is fixing to splatter all over my document. I am an old IBM 80 column punchcard guy on the Burroughs B3500 mainframe circa 1975. No GUI there 8-). May try your 'Stalone tray' suggestion but later, as the sun is starting to come up. Thanks again. -- Olly P WestVirginiaUSA
