I am reading the document Getting started NG FP3 and it is talking about
adding smart clients so that they can access the FW w/ a gui, but the doc
does not tell you what smart center app you are suppose to use to do this.

Hi,
if you are connected to the SSL-Webserver of SPlat, you are going
through the first setup and here you can define Management Consoles
(GUI, SmartConsole). So if you did this correctly and you aren't
successful then with connecting to the Interface pointing to you, there
might be some other reason.
First of all check if the entry is correct. Log in at SPlat (maybe in
expert mode) and have a look at it. You find the IP addresses from which
you might connect to SmartCenter (Management - not Firewall) in the file
$FWDIR/conf/gui-clients. For correcting an entry, you can either
configure it using vi, or (better), use the command "cpconfig".
If the IP address you are trying to connect your GUI from is correct,
try the command "fw unloadlocal" and try to connect again. Then it
should work. Please regard that after typing this command any security
rule is active, but IP forwarding is disabled.
Hope it helps,
best regards,
Matthias
