Most platforms come with their own snmp agent or you can install net-snmp
(ucd-snmp). That will usually return disk space, interface statistics,
cpu and load situations etc.

Run cpconfig and enable Check Point's snmp agent (usually binds to port
260) and that will return most of the numbers that you see with Smartview
Status: dropped, accepted, logged and rejected packets, CPU load, free space
on the $CPDIR partition etc. tidbits.

So to answer your question: I don't see the point in trying to make it work
on other platforms. I'm pretty sure it'll probably run (i.e. it'll start if
you extract the binary and launch it) on whatever Linux, but it was most
likely intended to be used on Secureplatform.
