We have a user that needs to use pcAnywhere to control a vendor's workstation for
training purposes. The vendor requires a PPTP connection.
I setup the access in the firewall to allow only our side to initiate the PPTP access
from our workstation to the vendor's workstation.
However, once the PPTP is setup, the vendor's workstation has complete port access to
our machine. This is not what we want.
I want to be able to block the vendor's workstation from initiating actions once the
PPTP is active.
What's the best way to set this up? A proxy server on our DMZ? An IPSec VPN to our
firewall's external interface?
Any comments or suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks,
Randy Rigby
