Hy Gavin,
I don't see any problems either, but we need to comply with the details in
the terms of their license relating to redistribution, including making
certain that "the above copyright notice(s) and this permission notice
appear in associated documentation". Currently, copying, modifying, and
redistributing the ZF 0.1.5 only requires compliance with the New BSD
License:
http://framework.zend.com/license
Copyright for Unicode should be added to the copyright section of the users
manual.
This should be done by our docu team.
Before we can release 0.2 (if we release Zend_Locale* in the incubator/
folder), we need to make some changes, including informing ZF users that an
additional license applies to redistribution of the ZF (i.e. both the New
BSD License for ZF and the "UNICODE, INC. LICENSE AGREEMENT"), or we need
to make this data a separate download, or we can speak directly with the
copyright owners about other possible arrangements.
I would appreciate asking the copyright owner or adding the Unicode license
is that is no problem for Zend.
Two seperate downloads would be problematic for end-users and could lead to
a problem with
paths or not working locale.
1 download for 1 framework...
Cheers,
Gavin

After reading this I checked
http://www.unicode.org/copyright.html#Exhibit1 as I'm using the
UCD(Unicode Character Database) for Zend_Locale_UTF8 and I don't see a
problem after looking through the terms of use. Just wanted to mention
that, maybe you see some problems that I don't.
