Hello together,

thank you - Andi - for your detailled description of the actual
project status.

For me it would be really nice to get this detailled roadmap even with
dated milestones. I know, that this is really hard to forecast, but it
would be a great help, if I could even know, if 1.0 could come in the
first quarter of 2007 or second or whenever.

I'm looking for a good and future-proof framework for PHP. Because I
love PHP and would really like to develop further on in PHP, but I
have to admit, that I have been fixed to frameworks by the effort and
effectiveness of Ruby On Rails (especially it's usage of the MVC).

So in my opinion a Framework pushed by Zend would be that one with the
greatest perspectives for the future. Because "the" big player
concerning PHP is concerned in its development. So I would really like
to build my new project with Zend Framework. But when I look to the
success of development (first presentation in the end of 2005, now
version 0.1.5), I really am in doubt, that it will

1. develop fast enough to be competitive
2. develop fast enough to be a stable framework for my actual project

At the moment I am still looking for the answer, if Zend Framework is
still stable enough to be the basis of my new project. Or is it better
to take another Framework, if I have to decide for a framework just
now?

Please don't understand this wrong. I would really love to use Zend
Framework, because I'm fastinated of the whole concept and strongly
believe, that a Framework with the "Zend-quality-label"
would strongly be the best PHP-Framework. But I have to make my
decision now.

Kind regards, Lars
