Hi Andries,
The new wiki manual has already exceeded expectations, and looks and
works well for our needs. Although some small, but possibly
time-consuming, tweaks might be done, may I suggest we begin thinking
about the next major step (wiki-to-docbook)?
For those not familiar with the wiki manual project:
======================================
Before we can switch to using the new wiki manual, we need to preserve
existing abilities. We need the ability to create a PDF and HTML
version of the wiki manual. We might attempt to use the wiki's export
capabilities, but I'm concerned it might require a large effort to get
the desired effects. We might also use the ZF itself to produce the PDF
manual.
Instead, we could use an approach already known to work (docbook to
PDF/HTML). If we can translate the wiki back to docbook, then we have a
complete solution.
Cheers,
Gavin

Hello all,
First I'd like to thank you for your possitive replies, regarding the
wikification. I received very good suggestions from you guys, and I
have tried to implement them as much as possible.
What is still missing:
- Improved syntax highlighting;
- Fix for wrong anchor points in the {toc};
- Improve the css for the sidebar;
- Add tabs (quick links to jira issues, api docs, etc..);
- Hide sidebar when printing/exporting;
- ...
Gaving suggested to try the {toc-zone} macro instead of the {toc}
macro to fix the wrong anchor links in the table of contents. I tried
it, but it wasn't exactly what I was looking for, because the toc
wasn't displayed at the top of the page, but above each {toc-zone}
instead.
I just did a fresh import of the current state, which still can be
found here: http://framework.zend.com/wiki/display/ZFDOCDEV/Home
This update includes links to outside resources, and some other minor
fixed.
Suggestions are still welcome, and highly appreciated.
