I will repeat what i said now couple of months.
eAccelerator is kinda obsolete due to fact he doesn't support PHP 5.2.x
properly (can't remember now if for 5.1.x is same thing). Even if PHP
5.2 is released by some time eAccelerator wasn't updated to properly
support newer PHP versions.

I've been a long time user of eAccelerator and unfortunately parts of
my Zend Framework based app just stopped working with it (especially
Zend_Xmlrpc_Server powered endpoints etc.), while it works flawlessly
without eAccelerator or with APC enabled.
I've been pretty happy with eAccelerator otherwise.
