i know this maybe a wrong forum to post this but i like to know what PHP/ZF
developers think abt this

i just develop a web app that was supposed to be a replacement for a
school's inventory management system which was originally developed in MS
Access. i was quite embarassing actually ... after developing the system, i
feel that the web app although may fullfil the clients requirements abit
better, fix some bugs in the old system, has better features like search
etc...

i feel the access 1 was much faster even tho the data is the same ... isit
because i didnt optimize my code well enough? but the difference is quite
significant ... like maybe even arnd 5x slower in some cases. the
"production" machine was P4 1.6GHz 256MB RAM but i am comparing in the same
PC ... i did notice also that windows apps like C#/WPF/MSSQL is much faster
as in like data binding ... isit becos PHP/MySQL is like on a server even if
its localhost is slows things down?
