I like to take notes at meetings in the console using nano, without X running. Seems to eke out a little more battery life and it makes me look hardcore*.
How can I get a raw console to make better use of my screen resolution? It seems to fall back 640x480 or 800x600 on my laptop which should be around 1280x1024??
