Thunderbird here, both for school mail (standard imap/postfix) and for
personal mail, by way of gmail. I agree that gmail's Thunderbird info is
all you need.

Evolution continues to do nothing but piss me off so I've decided to
ditch it. At the office I switched to Outlook under CrossOver and I just

Outlook under CO is actually quite good. It boots faster than Outlook
under Windows. It also doesn't barf on meeting requests from Exchange
like Evolution did. One of my devs claims that using Outlook under Linux
makes me a prostitute, I claim that having a mail client that makes me
functional at the office is worth more than my ethical standards. :D
For the record the first hit that Google turns up for Thunderbird on
LifeHacker is garbage. Just use GMails Thunderbird HOWTO and get on with
it.
What mail client do you all prefer?
