Alrighty folks... I think it's time to call a halt the language wars.
I'm somewhat embarrassed and dismayed that what I thought was an
announcement to friends of a bit of good fortune in my life has givnen
rise to bickering over languages.
So as admin of this list, I'm asking you all to stop the language wars
thread, now.
And I would also remind everyone that we've always been a very tolerant
and open-minded group, able to respect divergent opinions without
getting snarky. As long as I'm running this list, I want that to
continue. To be blunt - no more trolls. Period. Don't start, don't feed
them.
As to the studiously anonymous self proclaimed programming expert, Mr.
Nemo Nihil (how nice to see another Latin scholar), you've only been on
this list since April 1st (nice coincidence, that) and yet your tone has
been derogatory and contemptuous in every single post. I would suggest
that if you really want to call us all fools, you come out to a meeting
and do it person.
But be that as it may, let me repeat, "this crap ends now."
