Whether you are just beginning to use Linux or you have some
experience or you are an experienced user, you will find workshops,
presentations and discussions that are sure to pique your interest.

For those people with little or no experience, on Friday September 25,
2009, FreeGeek Columbus and Ohio LinuxFest will offer a special
training class that will cover the basics of Ubuntu Linux. This is an
excellent opportunity for people curious about Linux, those who are
eager for a more formal introduction, and system administrators
looking for a quick-start in new skills.

Those who have more experience and those who are Linux professionals
should consider OLFU for advanced tutorials. Ohio LinuxFest is
partnered with League of Professional System Administrators (LOPSA)
for the professional training program of OLFU; and are offering Linux
Professional Institute LPI Level One Certification.

For those who are interested in programming, Ohio LinuxFest will
present on Friday September 25, 2009, a one day hackathon. It will be
a day dedicated to design meetings, coding, and bug squashing.

Saturday, September 26, 2009, come for the Expo and presentations.
Check out the presentations throughout the day. There is bound to
quite a few that you will want to attend. Talk with people of like
mind in the Birds of a Feather sessions (BOF). Make new friends or
renew old friendships.

Diversity in Open Source will be on Sunday September 27. Join us in
the Champaign room of the Hyatt for a day of encouraging diversity in
the Open Source world. A mix of talks and open discussion will help
attendees identify biases and learn ways to break down barriers,
invisible or blatant.

Also on Sunday, the Linux Professional Institute (LPI) BSD
Certification Group (BSDCG) will offer the BSDA certification exam to
attendees of Ohio LinuxFest 2009. During Ohio LinuxFest be sure to
take advantage of advancing your Linux and Open Source credentials by
taking discounted LPI exams. The Linux Professional Institute (LPI) is
widely recognized as the world's leading Linux certification.

Don’t forget to unwind with us, Saturday night, at the after party
held in Hyatt.
Another chance to meet old friends and make new friends.

Registration deadline is noon on Friday September 18, 2009. You can
register by going to http://www.ohiolinux.org/register. While you are
at it, if you need a hotel room you can register at
http://www.ohiolinux.org/hotel.html. The room rate is only
$99.00/night, while they last.
