Note that, in addition to the professional classes (OLFU, Ohio LinuxFest University) given the day before the fest, this year a local FreeGeek organization will also be giving "Quick Start" day-long introductory classes on the Linux desktop (Ubuntu, GNOME). $250 registration buys you the whole day's class, lunch, then you get to *keep* the computer you use in class all day (P4, 512 MB of RAM), *plus* you get all the benefits of a regular "enthusiast" registration. This would be an excellent way for someone who's interested in the whole Linux thing, who could use a little bit of a "formal" learning environment where all the bases get covered methodically and/or who doesn't have an extra computer to play with it on. Cool stuff. Simón _______________________________________________ Fwlug mailing list [email protected] http://fortwaynelug.org/mailman/listinfo/fwlug_fortwaynelug.org
