Yeah, we'll be running it through an underground conduit between the buildings, which allows for future upgrades, but would prefer to make an informed choice up front to avoid having to replace the medium when the fairly predictable march of bandwidth needs hits the "it'd be nice to have 10G over these strands now..." point.
We're planning to have the fiber terminating into SC or LC connectors on our network rack, and using standard GBIC/SFP modules in our switches.
