In that case, revealing the whole scoring is too big a hint.
Normally, golf contest reveal the score for the _total_ of the holes, but as 
there's only one course, total score is also the score of the hole.

And that's not because the score and tie-breaker score is the same that 
solutions are the same. Simply, there is no way to untie them according to 
the rules.
Given two solutions with the same score and tie breaker score, imagine how 
frustrating it would be if one of the golfer gains one char and not the 
other... But if the solutions are different, there may be absolutely no way 
for the second golfer to shave one more char...
