Hi G3 PowerBooks all use the same large tipped power supplies (not sure about the original Kanga). Also the iBook Clamshell coloured things use the same power supplies.
I have used the same power adapter on a PowerBook 1400cs, PowerBook G3 Wallstreet, PowerBook G3 Lombard, PowerBook G3 Pismo and iBook G3 Clamshell. Yes there are higher and lower wattage of adapters but most pre-G4 PowerBooks use 45w. Someone had told me something about Lombard and Pismo power adapters would power on the machine but would not charge the battery. I'm pretty sure, because of its age ('98) the battery no good, but someday I might want to replace it. I'm looking for the right power adapter that would work to power on the machine AND charge the battery (when that day comes). I've seen some on eBay, but I'm not 100% sure they would work. Could someone please point me in the right direction? A link to an eBay item would be fine. Thanks.
