Or have a dead PRAM and remove the battery and AC....  :-)

This didn't work in Linux from what I have seen.  I've also had to
restart in OS 9 several times to fix it on my Wallstreet.  One of the
reasons I don't get much use out of it.  That and still looking for a
G4 at a reasonable price......
