Simpler in some ways - you generally use a pass key that is plain text but
not restricted in length as with WEP. With PSK, it pretty much looks
identical in practice. At the point your client connects, it'll ask for the
WPA passkey instead of the WEP key, and that's all the real difference.

Change the router FIRST. Then try a single client. When you are sure that
works, go to the next one in turn till they're all done.

WPA is about as secure as possible to consumers. It's pretty impossible to
crack a long WPA pass key (hint *long*) and if you are paranoid - change the
key every 6 months, it's unlikely anyone will ever crack it.

In my experience, WPA-PSK is the most supported protocol. It's the best to
start with. WPA2 is patchy - for example the N800 (Nokia web tablet) had
spotty WPA2 support for a long time. Not all OS will support WPA2.

If you are now using G, you'll notice the speed increase anyway - but I see
no speed difference for WEP and WPA over a G network at all for me. I can
stream audio and video over WPA-PSK encrypted WIFI at a rate that is
extremely usable and pretty stable.
