Hello!

1. Yes, for WPA-PSK, which is the most common method to use WPA, it is
as easy as WEP.
2. Yes, you just change the settings on your router and the clients.
3. Well, in numbers? Cannot tell for sure, but a long PSK should give
you some time.
4. WPA2 might be the best, but not all Device like it. On some routers
there is a mixed mode, but that does interfere with the security of
WPA2. If you are unsure, use WPA.
5. Well, it is, but you might not feel any difference in speed for all
means.

Kind regards

Marco Pielka

Subject: Wireless Security Question... WPA/WPA2

Hi

I have finally left the 802.11b market. All my Macs and phones now have
802.11g which means I don't have to stick with WEP for wireless
security.

As this is my first venture into WPA, I have a few questions.

1. Is it as simple to set up as WEP?
2. Do I just change my router and then reconfigure the devices?
3. How much more secure is it?
4. Do I go for WPA or WPA2? Not sure if my Nokia E71 supports WPA2
5. Is it any slower than Unsecured or WEP networks?

Any further advice would be great. I am hoping to sort this out today.

Simon
