Re the Pismo that will not show the partitioned drive with the OSX and OS9 hard disk icons in OSX. It works fine in OS9 and shows both drive partitions on the desktop. Is there a way of fixing OSX from the OS9 partition? I have tried: 1. The Pismo hardware CD tests indicate a 'pass' for ram, logicboard, etc. All tests passed. In OSX it still logs in then goes to a blue swirl desktop. 2. Diskwarrior 3.03 said there were errors so it rebuilt a new directory. Still the same normal log in, then blue. 3. I started up holding down the shift key, to boot in safe mode and the usual log in screen appeared, then the blue background with the swirls of blue for the desktop, but there are no hard drive icons, no menu bar- nothing except the blue desktop. The cursor is not frozen but there is nothing to click. 4. I will try an Archive&Re-install of Tiger but first I welcome any other suggestions in case it is an issue with something in startup items that will remain as a problem.
