While installing MS Office 2004 updates on a Pismo (1gb ram, 80 g hard drive, 10.4.11) the computer started up to the usual log in window, but then only a blue screen, without the hard drive icon.Starting up from the Tiger install disk and using Disk Utility said the hard drive disk did not need repair. Permissions were repaired. Then it started up normally to the log in screen, and opens to a blue background but with no hard drive icon. Any ideas what has gone wrong?
