With the help of some kind folks here, I solved the "won't start at all problem by pushing down harder on the CPU card to make sure it was seated.
Here are two more questions about the Pismo: How do you test the output of the AC adapter? I tried connecting a voltmeter to the output plug in all the ways I could see, but got no readings on two adapters that work. One of the Pismos I have won't boot up on just battery power, even though the other one will boot from the one battery that takes a full charge. The non-booting Pismo has a bad sound card still installed - could that be related? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to Low End Mac's G-Books list, a group for those using G3 iBooks and PowerBooks (we run a separate list for G4 'Books).
