I have two Pismos sitting here, one with 512 MB and one with 128. I wanted to move 256 MB from one to the other in order to be able to install OS 10.4 on it.
When I finished putting them both back together, neither one would start up at all. Is there anything relatively simple that could have caused this? I tried reseating the CPU card in one of them and pressing the reset button, but it still won't start. I followed the procedures in the service manual, so I though I was safe, making sure that both bays were empty before starting, and unplugging the PRAM battery. I wonder if I should just try putting back the memory the way it was.
