Hi.

Does it only affect higher end G4s with 2GB RAM limits. Mine tops at 1GB and I 
have RAM in both slots.

I have seen the problem on both models HOWEVER the fault was a common  
issue acknowledged by Apple on some Aluminum G4s.

It impacted the 1.5 and 1.67 15in models made in about a 3 month  
period in 2005, and they haad their warranty extended for this fault  
until 2008.
