I am using a Pismo, and have never had a problem with the modem under 10.4.x - now 10.4.11. I did read somewhere (Applelinks?) that some early versions of Tiger caused modem problems. Note that I am on a lousy phone line which rarely allows viable connections over 28800 bps, so I select the v.34 internal modem driver, which for this purpose limits the upper attempted connection speed. This improved the reliability of making a connection for all computers/modems that I have tried it on (for my phone line - YMMV). -- Don Zahniser --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to Low End Mac's G-Books list, a group for those using G3 iBooks and PowerBooks (we run a separate list for G4 'Books).
