I'd try and get something that can run leopard w/out hacks (hopefully
fully supported, core-xxxx)

Actually over 1ghz

I am looking to replace my g4 pismo pretty soon and I imagine I will
not get much
more than $200 for it if I am lucky. If I am lucky and get a 1.5ghz
for ~300 then I will sell my pismo probably for 150 (it does have a
few minor issues tho I'll admit ...)

It works ok w/ Tiger but I anticipate the security updates stopping
with the next major X release. Panther broke for me about 6 months
after that. Can't afford the downtime. Don't want to try running
leopard on pismo as its reported to be slow.

I figure I am overdue for a newer laptop as I got the pismo-g4 in
Jan05 and working the math backward I should have a 2005 powerbook
now... although it Does seem a waste to me to get rid of the pismo and
I don't really want to spend $$$ on a laptop, really (everything costs
double except the electricity and breaks a lot sooner).
