Hi, I have had no problems with my Titanium: I did upgrade the RAM and Hard Drive.
I am careful with the hinges on opening and closing the computer. I was VERY happy with my Pismo, except video was jerky (watching/listening to jazz guitarists on the net was not pleasant as the video would not keep up with the sound.) I prefer the FEEL of the Pismo under my hands: My hands lying on the Titanium are not comfortable. Adequate, but it doesn't have the same comfort feeling. Make sure you lay your hands on a Titanium before you go in that direction. So, it depends on what you are doing with your laptop. And what feels good to you. Pismo is a great machine.
