To make the Pismo work at it's best it needs 1Gb of memory which makes a
world of difference in speed using all applications.

A 20Gb HD is not good enough if you want to do anything serious on the
Pismo, at least a 160Gb drive is needed for all the storage needed today,
since even audio files can be very large.

A good battery is also required for the laptop to be useable, otherwise just
get a iMack if you are only going to use it plugged in.

OWC prices:
1Gb (two 512) memory $65
160 Gb 5400epm HD $75
New Battery-Stock size $100 High Capacity $150

That makes your $100 Pismo a $390 laptop!

You can always get by with less, but if you want to get the most out of the
Pismo is needs to be done right.
