FWIW, I have a 12" PB Alum battery from FastMac, and it's awesome. Holds the same standard charge as a new Apple battery. I've also used the NuPowr (NewerTech/OWC) extended power batteries for G3 PowerBooks, and have found them to be every bit as good as advertised, as long as you use and store them properly.
