I'm hoping to acquire 512 MB of RAM for my 266 MHz WallStreet soon so I can install a version of OS X (10.3 or more likely 10.4), but until then I have 64 MB installed. That's okay for Mac OS 9.2.2, but even with Virtual Memory enabled, running anything in addition to a browser is asking for trouble.
This morning I dug out my RAM Doubler 9 CD and installed it. What I found: 1. AirPort no longer worked (Lucent Silver PC Card) 2. It did not recognize the battery! A couple really significant issues. There is apparently a RAM Doubler 9.0.1 Update, but connectix.com no longer has it available. I have Googled for it and been unable to locate a copy. I've also read that RAM Doubler may have been incompatible with Mac OS 9.2.1. If anyone can shed more light on this or provide a link to the RAM Doubler 9.0.1 Updated, I'd be most grateful. Thanks!
