And, thank you again, Larry! I doubt if I ever want to go beyond what the machine "can" do (10.3.9), since the unit was bought on a lark and enjoys "toy" status at this time. Making it into a viable unit would require a new battery, a new PRAM battery, and some sort of wireless solution that I haven't even done my homework on (it is my understanding that the Lombard does not support Airport, and hence a 3rd party workaround is in order), ergo more $$ than I actually paid for it. Still, I had, up to this time, never owned a G3-based laptop outside of the white iBook (i.e. A Lombard/Pismo), and can freshly appreciate why those who use such are in love with them - they are a winner on sheer design elegance alone!
