There are four different models of PowerBook G4 (1.67 GHz), all with Airport Extreme card (802.11g): <http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/powerbook_g4/faq/powerbook-g4-models-with-airport-airport-extreme-bluetooth-bluetooth-2.0-support.html> If your Airport Extreme "server" is the recent Airport Extreme Base Station with 802.11n (Gigabit Etherenet), then a 802.11n adapter will be a much better match. I have a similar combination with an iBook G4, instead of a PowerBook G4. A NewerTech USB 802.11n/g/b adapter from OWC works very well: <http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Newer%20Technology/MXP802NU2C/> --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to Low End Mac's G-Books list, a group for those using G3 iBooks and PowerBooks (we run a separate list for G4 'Books).
