I was searching google yesterday and saw a thread about getting an
apple script to do this. Seems there were sometimes some
complications, I don't recall what. well one thing is some pdf "texts"
are actually just scanned images which will not copy/ paste (the ocr
would work there).
I remembered about this another more available program is called
pdf2html, which preserves formatting of course...
