Hi all, I've had this PISMO since 2000, and just had work done on
it, I thought it was the Mother Board, but in having it looked at,
the guys said it was only the hard drive. So to make a long story
short, they put in a 80G hard drive, but when I look at the Devices
in the profiler it shows the 80G hard drive, but right next to that
is also shows the internal HD to be only 9.76 G. I lifted the
keyboard and the physical hard drive in the Pismo shows it to be
80GB. Can somebody explain that to me, like why does it show a
smaller HD, or would you think it was partitioned???? Any help
would surely be appreciated. Bob Palermo

You might be better off asking this on the G-Books list but
I took a look at my "new" Pismo for which I spent most of
yesterday installing a new 40GB WD hard drive. I installed
10.4.11, so my system profiler looks a bit different, but
I think the first block shows the hard drive capacity and
the second shows the "volume" size of the partitions. Thus,
I think you are correct, the disk was partitioned when they
installed the new drive. Did you "look" at the drive using
Disk Utility?
