Hello,

It looks like Kris has you covered for the information you need. I
would just like to add that I too am new to the G3 Clamshell. I bought
one off Craigs list on a whim but have been pleasantly surprised by
how much fun it is. It really isn't as slow as I'd imagined. I do have
the firewire version, though, and was able to install Tiger in target
disc mode from my iMac G5. I'm running the latest version of Firefox
as a browser and it requires at least Tiger (10.4.11) to operate.
You'll need to use Kris's advise in order to install Tiger on yours.
make sure to download all of the updates through "software update"
after your initial Tiger installation. I am in full agreement that you
need to max out the memory with a 512MB PC100 or PC133 card. I ordered
mine from Other World Computing (see below). They have great prices,
service and their memory is lifetime guaranteed. If you're really
going to attempt a hard drive upgrade you should check out ifixit (see
below). This website is a great resource for Clamshell owners. OK, I'll
stop rambling.
