6-Cell vs 9-Cell is exactly what it sounds like, there are more
individual cells in the battery enclosure, and is just like a boom box
that uses, say 6 C-cells versus one that uses 9...the one using 9 can
either draw more power in the same amount of time as the 6-Cell, or
draw the same amount as the 6-Cell, for a longer time.
It's how batteries get the higher mAH numbers, most commonly: stuffing
more cells into the box.
Thanks, Bruce. So, can I say then that the 9 cells are better because
they retain more power and would need to be recharged less often once
fully charged? This seems to be the case where the higher numbers are
much better than the lower ones.
