This one is easy. Just replace the top case (the part with the touchpad 
installed in it). Make sure the sleep magnet is present on the new top case.

What usually happens in cases like yours is that a little cast metal nub that 
catches the hook is broken off in the fall. Just use your spare top case to 
effect the quickest repair. And find where that little nub went -- you don't 
want it to short circuit something in the iBook
