I have a wallstreet powerbook. G3 300mhz, 256mb ram. The original

original hard drive back in which was working fine. Now i still get
the flashing question mark. HELP PLEASE!
You may need to reset the PRAM to get the old drive recognized again.
Press Command-Option-P-R immediately that you turn the computer on,
and
wait for the computer to give its startup chime at least 3 times
(should
be 30 seconds to one minute total elapsed time). I'm not sure why
it is
recommended to wait for the chimes 3 times...
If running OS 9, you will probably have to reset a few settings.

I suggest that you first try reseating processor card. It takes more
force than you might imagine to press it into place until it "clicks."
Also, make sure that the new hard drive is fully connected.
What kind of "broken powerbook running 10.4" did you take the hard
drive from and what is the size of the drive?
