Your reply about the toxic issue was very helpful. My dad also used to
hold nails, screws, fishing lures, tiny tools, etc., in his mouth
while working on things. I tend not to do that. ;-)  It surprised me
one day when I bought fishing bobbers for my nephew, and found a
warning. Turns out there must be lead in tiny metal piece that
attaches it to the line - and the state of California requires a
declaration about such things causing cancer. Neither I, nor my nephew
plan to chew on or otherwise ingest the bobbers. :-)  I like warnings,
but I also like to know exactly WHY the warning is there so I know how
to be safe. Your info helps me understand that I can be perfectly safe
working on my Pismo. I appreciate that.
