All, Just actually had a chance to do this. So using CMD+V for Verbose mode the only thing I see different is that the slow iBook give the following line:
AirPortFirmware: start Sta f/w download It stays here for a while. The other 2 do not do this. Is there a firmware upgrade on the airport card I need to do? Also try booting into Safe Mode (holding down shift key), then rebooting normally, then rebooting again. This automatically clears and rebuilds the kernel cache. A tool such as OnyX will help you run other cleaning procedures. Exp cleaning the system, application, and font caches - as well as the kernel cache. It will also let you easily run the three Apple-supplied system maintenance tasks. AppleJack will do a deep cleaning, at a lower level than regular tools. Um, I know that 1.5 requires Tiger or newer.
