Hello, I was recently given 2 12-inch G4 iBooks a 1.2Ghz and a 1.0Ghz ones. The 1.2Ghz worked fine and no problems, I added a 512MB SO-DIMM and its purring like a happy cat. The 1.0Ghz one beeps 3 times when I try to boot it. This I know indicates problems with RAM. I can see through the RAM shield that there is RAM installed and I want to remove it to see if that's what's having problems. I have tried without success to remove the RAM shield, apparently, whoever put in the RAM torked the screws too tight. I have the right size screws for it (I know this because the RAM shield for the 1.2Ghz was removed with the screws I have) I just cannot get enough tork to loosen the screws. Does anyone have any suggestions on how best to remove the RAM shield with as little damage as possible to the iBook?
