Hi I am hoping someone can help me with my triple boot problems. I have a Pismo with a 60GB hard drive. I am trying to triple boot OS9, OSX Tiger and Ubuntu 10.04.
I have 3 partitions (2GB for OS9, 48GB for OSX, 5GB for Linux). I have installed OS9 and OSX and they are working fine. I was trying to install Linux today and came to a stand still at the partitioner. Ive done this with Windows and various distros on PCs and it works fine, simply click the 'use largest free space' option and it installs it fine alongside Windows. I booted into the PowerPC version of Ubuntu 10.04, and I was using the alternative installer as the pismo has video issues using the normal installer and live CD. I got to the partitioner stage, wiped the 5GB for Linux so it could sort it out itself and format it as ext4. It then gave some error about not being able to find an apple bootstrap. At this point I didnt want to mess up the existing two OSes so I quit and left it. Has anyone installed Ubuntu beside OSX - preferably a fairly new version of Ubuntu? Has anyone else had problems with the partitioner or can advise me what to do?
