that there is an issue with the 'fit' of the drive in the bay.
If it is too tight or there is something sticking up or out and
putting pressure
on the top inside, you'll get problems happening with the track pad.
It's true if  your fingers are damp, messy , ect it will cause it to
go haywire,
but this seems to be something else.
It's similar idea to sitting in tent, and standing up to high and it
bends the roof
but doesn't break it. You'll get that Convex happening with the
plastic
body, it maybe slight and not preceptible, so really look at your DVD
drive to see it's not got burrs or let's say a sticker peeled over to
cause
doubling and hence a bulge when you insert it in. Also make sure
there's nothing floating around INSIDE where you put the
slots in! Just my 2 cents. good luck. If no problem, then look
on ebay for a new track pad, they are cheap and pretty easy to
install.
