No. Because UK plugs only plug in one way (1 prong at top, 2 prongs at bottom) 
everything I say was relative to the orientation of the plug end.

How quaint. I think of plugs in relation to the orientation of the socket. 
Generally this is as I describe above (1 pin upper, 2 pins lower), though I 
don't doubt there are manufacturers that reverse this orientation.
