I think your battery is done. I have a machine that did this after purchase of a new batt. It turned out that the battery would show about 50% charge and then shut down I would then plug it in and upon booting the charge indicator reports 0% charge so after it got to 99% and I would try on the battery again and again always the same shut down result.
