I bought a replacement drive for my Macbook late '06 as a kit from OWC with a box for the old one. It works fine with the MacBook, however it does not work with either my Pismo (USB1) or my Powerbook G4 early '05 (USB2) even with a y-cord. Still not enough power, I guess ? I wondered if SATA is a problem here or perhaps a cheap SATA-usb adapter in the box. I do have a tiny hub with a tiny 5v connection but I don't have an AC adapter that fits to test the power issue.
